See? The lyrics simply brings out this sentimental vive to it, right? Oh c’mon! I know this type of song genre doesn’t have that romantic pace just like ‘I can wait forever’. (it has more of a punk&rock-ish instinct in it) but the words says it all. I think this song fits the story and can relate to us teenagers and to what I think LaMBs might feel.

--looking at most people’s current situations in life, it seems as if most cannot find a better life-trail. It’s like continuing to walk on a foggy road with 0% visibility, making wrong turns on crossroads yet hesitant to turn around and go to the right direction and just expect to be pitied just because we don’t want help ourselves.

--Everything seems to be delayed… I’m finding ways to escape this isolated place while you just stay at a corner, gazing at me—it’s no different to leave you behind. Life continues on, while you seem to be making senseless reasons, leaving another day’s problems but that’s not how it goes for me…

--I wont look back to where I’ve been then I’ll say “ciao, I’m gonna leave you now.” If I don’t go, then chances might go low. If you won’t come with me now, then that's you decision. Life’s not gonna stay behind you if you won’t start walking…
So, that's somewhat my own interpretation on the lyrics' flow. I think that this song is very compatible to the story and I would like ‘Simple Plan’ to sing it. They’re voices are already perfecto!
It’s not just the beat but it’s the songs message!!

Speak your mind
LaMBs cannot speak nor do they have free will.
have you ever been in a situation
where you felt you couldn't speak up or express yourself?
This dilemma occurs when I talk to elders, particularly my teachers, high-ups and my friends. I can't go around blabbering my opinion when it's against them. It's like saying they're wrong, and for me, as a younger person with less experience, is like a manifestation of disrespect and 'disrespect' is very taboo for me.
Our family is very well known in our city due to our so-called 'financial status'. Whenever people hear my family name, they have 2 first impressions. 1.) "Are you part of the family who owns a part of the city" or 2.) "hahaha... your family name is the same as the baranggay in the north." awkward, right? Wherever i go and meet up new friends in this city, i always end up being compared to them by themselves. I'm tired of making worthless excuses, that wouldn't even make their impressions on me change. Sometimes, they say "Hey Trish! You should do this because you're the one who has a lot of money." I always reply with a mild laugh or a fake smile but those words always get on my nerves. Yes, i just keep quiet. I don't want people to look at me because of my family name. I don't want to be used as a 'money bank'. Somehow, i can't express myself through words and explain everything to them so, I'd rather cry myself to sleep than cry in front of them and waste my time saying things that never changes anything.
I'm known as person with a strong sense of conscience though. When it comes to the point where I make someone mad, I wont go out and nag around saying that he/she has no right to be angry, but rather I go to him/her and ask for apology for making him/her feel bad. --i know, too good to be true, right?--.
I'm not good with words when It comes to speaking up directly. But i'm used to it. That is why, I really love writing and I can write what my heart yields, be it positive or negative. As long as I have my pen and paper, I can express every little thing I have in mind.
I've put a lot of effort and emotion in writing this entry (though it's short), but I hope you've learned something (or not). Well, once again, this is Patricia Ysabelle Griño, signing out!

Choose a side
"choose a side. are you for or against lamination?"
But looking at the so-called "LAMINATION" in different angles, i can tell whether I agree or not. I really got interested of Lamination and was hoping to become, a so-called, LaMB. Of course, like a normal die-hard person would do, I did research in the LaMB website. I was able to read it's benefits and disadvantages. Benefits like popularity or admiration but disadvantages such a loosing freedom.
But weighing those disadvantages with the advantages, i can see that the disadvantage is waaaayyyy heavier.
but I might change my mind though.
would you commit a crime to stay young and beautiful?
--------------In LaMB, the process of Lamination was to preserve beauty until it involved into a form of imprisonment. Would you commit a crime o stay young and beautiful?
Perfection isn't a 'need' but a 'want'. No one's complaining if you're not the prettiest person on earth, so there's no point to it. Committing a high-leveled crime will just cause a lot of problems and chaos in your life which makes you imperfect inside. Let's say we're on Cerra and you committed a crime just to achieve physical perfection therefor, you were sentenced to lamination and let's just say you will be physically perfect, young and beautiful, but is it actually worth it? You won't feel the joy of perfection anyway.
"The true perfection of a man lies not in what man has but what man is."
The People who commit crime owns the name criminal. Owning that name, you are already unworthy to be called perfect. It's just like a circle. It continue to go round and around and has no end. Committing a crime won't make me so it has no sense at all. And besides, the consequences of breaking a law are far beyond the level of beauty nor perfection so, I'd rather not.

About LaMB
LaMB is an upcoming animated film produced by Animax directed by Ryosuke Tei with the original script written by Carmelo S. J. Juinio, one of the finalists of the 2007 Animax awards Pan-Asia Animation competition (from Philippines), that will be broadcasted across several countries in 2009 in high definition. It is also the first and biggest Animax original production, featuring the French-Canadian band and Simple Plan and the American band The Click Five who will be producing two different songs for the opening and ending themes of the movie.

LaMB is Animax's first original production in High Definition, and "promises to revolutionize the entire entertainment experience via how content is delivered and marketed to consumers". Encompassing a series of multi-platform, multi-disciplinary, and multi-media activities that revolves around the launch of the movie on Animax, LaMB aims to redefine the entire entertainment experience for consumers from pre-premiere to post-premiere of the film in a campaign expected to last at least six months. The film is based on a screenplay entitled Laminated Woman: To the Sand Planet Cerra by Carmelo S. J. Juinio, a Filipino entrant of the 2007 Animax Award competition. Its release is considered by Animax to be an example of the industry potential of user generated content . The plot features a futuristic prison system in which prisoners, the titular "LaMB"s, are sealed in personal containment systems known as "laminated suits" and used for labor.
Canadian band Simple Plan's I Can Wait Forever is to be the title track for LaMB, while American band The Click Five's song Summer Time is also to be featured in the film. Animax Asia and Peach Blossom Media are to produce music videos for both songs, which will premiere on Animax across Asia and online in December 2008.

Dubbing
LaMB will be dubbed in several languages for several different regions: English for the Southeast Asian region, mandarin for China, Cantonese for Hong Kong, Hindi for India, and Japanese for Animax Japan. It will be shown across all Animax channels around the world.
Hong Kong actress Josei Ho and Taiwan's Van Ness Wu will voice in English and Cantonese for two of the primary characters in next year's internationally produced animated film LaMB.
The plot features a futuristic prison system in which prisoners, the titular "LaMB"s, are sealed in personal containment systems known as "laminated suits" and used for labor. The virtual slavery that is Lamination ensures that those convicted of serious crimes remain productive, if not free, members of society, making both jails and the death penalty unnecessary in a world where human ingenuity, creativity and labour continue to be precious commodities that cannot be replaced by robots or any form of artificial intelligence.
The two protagonists are Eve and Jack. Eve is an ex-weapons specialist who has accidentally taken innocent lives while trying to do good and was sentenced to years in virtual imprisonment behind the laminated suit. Jack on the other hand, is a visiting scientist from another planet who is trying to forget his dead wife and immerses himself in work. Inadvertently Jack gets pulled into the political system of lamination and a romance with Eve.
